Brownies
To call this just a "brownie" doesn't do it justice. These are without a doubt one of the best chocolate confections you will ever eat. I got this recipe from my mother and I think she got it from heaven. You simply have to make them and let me know what you think!
Brownies
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups bread flour (not self-rising)
2/3 cup cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 cup pecans, chopped
How to Make It:
1) Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
2) Put butter in 9x13 dish, melt in oven.
3) Mix sugar, flour, and cocoa.
4) Add melted butter, vanilla, and eggs. Mix well.
5) Stir in pecans. Batter will be thick. Pour batter into pan and spread evenly.
8) Bake at 300 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted 1-2 inches from edge comes out clean. (Be very careful not to overbake.)
9) Cool completely and frost.
Frosting:
2 cups confectioner's sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2-4 Tbsp. milk, for desired consistency
(The frosting has been halved from the original recipe, but it makes plenty.)

Oh YUM! These are looking quite fine right now.
I'm definitely going to try these! I love the fact that it uses ingredients that I already have. And Jeff will love the fact that it includes pecans (unfortunately for him, I always forget to put nuts in brownies, but with seeing it in your recipe, I'll remember it better). :)
Yes, they are easy and don't require any special ingredients. And trust me, I've made them both ways, and they are much better with nuts!
